At the EAEA General Assembly, key issues in the adult learning sector today and in the network of EAEA members will be discussed.
In the evening, the winners of the EAEA Grundtvig Award will be celebrated and present innovative projects that showcase resilience and community-building in adult learning.
10th June EAEA Annual Conference:
As economic and social conditions shift rapidly, Adult Learning and Education (ALE) helps reduce inequalities and supports adults who need new skills or renewed confidence. ALE strengthens both individual agency and community participation.
By building solidarity and shared capacity to face change, ALE fosters resilience—not only for individuals, but for whole communities. These ideas will be at the heart of EAEA’s 2026 annual conference on “Resilience and Community‑Building.”

The European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the voice of non-formal adult education in Europe. EAEA is a European NGO with 120 member organisations in 43 countries and represents more than 60 million learners Europe-wide.
EAEA is a European NGO whose purpose is to link and represent European organisations directly involved in adult learning. Originally known as the European Bureau of Adult Education, EAEA was founded in 1953 by representatives from a number of European countries.
EAEA promotes adult learning and access to and participation in non-formal adult education for all, particularly for groups currently under-represented.
