Open Access

The Leibniz Association supports the publication of research findings in  journals and books in golden open access, i.e. with the Leibniz Open Access Publishing Fund. The DIE also encourages its employees to publish their research results in open access.

Two options are available – the golden and the green road to open access, as well as the institutional repository "DIE Space“. In addition, the DIE employees are encouraged to negotiate simple user rights, free of charge and unlimited in time, for their publishing contracts to store all research findings in a repository.

The institutional repository "DIE Space“ publishes all books, articles in journals, and online documents, which were developed for golden open access, as well as books and journals, which are left to the DIE for free publication after an embargo period.

The DIE offers advice to its employees on all legal and technical publication issues in open access, second window rights, licences, copy rights, predatory publishing and it establishes contacts to open access publishers.
